It's Monday, What Are You Reading?
I finished reading The Interestings, by Meg Wolitzer last week, and it's one of the best books I've read this year. (Maybe in several years.) The characters were so likeable, and yes, interesting, that I didn't want to leave their world. I read the book more slowly than I would usually read a novel, because I didn't want it to end.
Today I picked up The Silver Star at the library, which is the latest novel by Jeannette Walls. I've been looking forward to this novel since I heard about it, since I've enjoyed all of her other books. It took my little local library awhile to get the book, but I've got it now and I'm very excited! I'm also reading Wedded to the Land: Stories From a Simple Life on an Organic Fruit Farm, by Joan Donaldson, who is a friend of mine from graduate school.
