Summer Reading - July

Here are the books from my previously posted summer reading list that I have actually read so far this summer:

1. Shadow Puppets, Orson Scott Card (novel/science fiction)
2. Shadow of the Giant, Orson Scott Card (novel/science fiction)
3. The Last Days of California, Mary Miller (novel)
4. Landscape with Plywood Silhouettes, Kerrin McCadden (poetry)
5. Dry, Augusten Burroughs (memoir)

And I've started Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground, 1981-1991, Michael Azzerad (nonfiction)

So far only 5 out of the 18 I had planned to read. However, I've read the following also, that weren't on my original list:

6. The Husband's Secret, Liane Moriarity (novel)
7. Prep, Curtis Sittenfeld (novel, re-read)
8. The Virgins, Pamela Erens (novel)
9. The Thoughts and Happenings of Wilfred Price, Purveyor of Fine Funerals, Wendy Jones (novel)
10. You Should Have Known, Jean Hanff Korelitz (novel)
11. Glitter Bomb, Aaron Belz (poetry)
12. Tapestry of Fortunes, Elizabeth Berg (novel)
13. Chickens in the Road, Suzanne McMinn (memoir)
14. My Age of Anxiety, Scott Stussel (memoir/nonfiction)

My list always changes as the summer progresses, depending on what I feel like reading, and what I can find at my library or through inter-library loan!
