It's Monday, What Are Your Reading?

Mostly student composition papers, which is why I'm a date late! Due to all the driving I do, though, I did manage to finish two audio books last week. For one, I finished The Nix, by Nathan Hill. This book was scarily reflective of our current political climate, and contained fascinating characters and many great plot twists. I don't recommend listening to it on audio, though, since the narrator overdramatized every sentence, which stressed me out and drove me crazy!

I also finished Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I have to drive my kids 40 minutes to school each way, so we decided to pass the time by listening to the 6th (and now the 7th) Harry Potter book, since my son hadn't yet read them. In contrast to The Nix, this narrator (Jim Dale), did a fabulous job. I liked the book even more in this form! It was fun to experience the book again, since I hadn't read it since it had originally been released. Right after finishing the book, we watched the movie, which was an interesting experience since it was clear to us all the things that the movie left out or changed. We preferred to book.

This week I'm still working on A Broken Hallelujah, by Liel Leibovitz and Patient H.M.: The Story of Memory, Madness, and Family Secrets, by Luke Dittrich. I also started Cyber Effect: A Pioneering Cyberpsychologist Explains How Human Behavoir Changes Online, by Mary Aiken. I'm realizing I've started too many books and probably won't be able to finish them before I have to return them to the library. Anyone else have this problem?
